Submission to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Violence Against Women (January 2017)
Our submission to the UN Special Rapporteur focussed on the following series of priority areas of work relating to justice for women:
- unnecessary complexity of the legal system as it relates to family violence victims;
- reforms required to make faily law safer for women and children;
- economic security of women, in particular how family violence causes women's economic insecurity; and
- the particular vulnerabilities of women in prison.
